About The Role:
Gen3 seeks a SAP Basis Administrator to support UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries (FPI) with SAP Basis administration assistance and expertise to maintain the S4 HANA system and its server architecture in the Windows and Amazon cloud services that it is supported on. The administrator will assist and advise on the current Federal Prison Industries SAP ECC system configuration and all SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to include FPI third-Party interfaces. The administrator will also assist with SAP Basis and database administration, securing inmate access in the SAP environment, including to an upgraded SAP S4 HANA system in a cloud environment and provide senior level consulting and project management expertise in SAP Basis administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management expertise.
  • Provide SAP Basis administration assistance and expertise.
  • Assist with the current basis tasks of SAP ECC system and S/4 HANA.
  • Assist with SAP Basis configuration of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and third-party interfaces.
  • Assist with securing inmate access in the SAP landscape including to an upgraded SAP HANA system in a cloud environment.
  • Provide senior-level consulting in the SAP Basis administration.
  • Provide guidance, training and knowledge transfer to current FPI staff.
  • Research and plan new system development lifecycle for the SAP HANA system.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related technical field, or comparable experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project management expertise.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a SAP Basis resource.
  • Minimum of two years of experience consulting in a capacity of a SAP Basis Administrator with knowledge of fresh install of a Linux based HANA database.
  • A working knowledge of STIGs for a SAP HANA database.
  • Experience working with third party tools like Open text, ShipERP and PBS archiving.
  • Minimum of two years of knowledge and experience with SAP configuration.
  • Minimum of two years of experience providing training and knowledge transfer on a regular schedule including systems refreshes, SAP version and patch level upgrades and keeping abreast of all SAP infrastructure and software needs.
  • Minimum of two years of experience assisting with SAP Basis configuration of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and third-party interfaces.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with current SAP HANA development, knowledge of current system gaps, and knowledge of SAP future system development.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in assisting with securing inmate access in the SAP landscape including and upgraded SAP HANA system and potentially a Cloud environment.
