About the Role:
Gen3 seeks a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (Senior) to support the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA). This role involves conducting quality reviews, collaborating on unit testing, overseeing test plans, and ensuring software meets quality standards. The consultant will apply analytical skills to validate IT processes and enhance business investments.

Location: Baltimore, MD (hybrid)

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct quality reviews and collaborate on unit testing.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Develop and establish QA measures and testing standards.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to QA standards.
  • Communicate test progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience.
  • Four (4) plus years of experience with manual functional/regression testing, design, and execution.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience working with quality control methods and tools.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Software Tester (CSTE), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE), ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL), Quality Improvement Associate Certification (CQIA), Certified Test Manager (CTM), Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), or equivalent certification.
What's Desired to Have:
  • Previous experience supporting federal or state agencies, especially MDTA, is highly desired.



Salary: $110,000 and $135,000 annually depending on skills and experience with full-time benefits and a discretionary bonus.
